Craft Beer Brewing Process
Craft beer brewing process is as follows:
① Malt milling: the malt crushed by malt mill turn out suitable malt grist;
② Malt mashing process
In the procedure, the malt starch is changed into syrup under the action of the enzyme.
●Malt mashing : the grist is mixed with water in the mash kettle, by heating temperature control, the starch becomes into malt liquid syrup by enzymolysis.
●Wort filter: in the lauter tun, the above-mentioned wort is filtered to separate the impurities then obtain the clear wort;
●Wort boiling: the above-mentioned clear wort is boiled in the kettle, solidify the excess protein, and extract the hop’ essential elements.
● Wort swirl: The wort is boiled in the whirlpool separator then separate the hot trub and scrap hops;
● Wort cooling: through the plate heat exchanger, the hot wort is cooled to the temperature suitable for fermentation;
③ Beer fermentation process
In this process, malt syrup under the action of yeast turn to beer.
● Beer fermentation: put the yeast in the fermenting tank, the cooled wort is converted into beer;
④ Beer filling: filling the finished beer into the containers for storage.
● Beer Filling: through manual or semi-automatic filling machine, under the airtight conditions by CO2 , the beer is poured into containers. The containers include the glass bottles, PET bottles, and stainless steel barrels etc.
